WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
The College of Southern Idaho (CSI) has created the Work Force Development Center, an integrated workforce development program that coordinates three specific programs for assuring the local workforce is qualified to meet the challenges brought on my rapid technological changes and the growing economy.
I. The cornerstone of the Center is based on training associated with the Work Keys Workforce Development System. This customized training delivers a cost-effective method to develop key workplace skills in our community. CSI is an ACT Work Keys Authorized Service Center. Work Keys-based training meets the needs for industry and businesses to have a qualified workforce by providing training in:

- Listening
- Technical Writing
- Teamwork
- Applied Technology
- Locating Information
- Observation
II. Four-year programs are held in the evenings enabling professionals to work as a full-time apprentice in the following trades:
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Sheet metal
- Construction
- Maintenance Technology
III. CSI has a licensed C-STOP trainer that can customize training in industrial safety training and orientation.
