AT&T /PoP
The city of Jerome has a new Point-of-Presence area, an on-ramp to AT&T's Global Fiber Network. This new PoP significantly upgrades the region's telecommunications infrastructure. The technology is an upgrade of AT&T's fiber optic cable intersection already located in the region but will allow a much larger volume of information to flow out of and into the area. Building and expanding area infrastructure will facilitate the migration of new businesses to Southern Idaho as well as increasing telecommunications capabilities for existing businesses in the region.
