"Hub City of Magic Valley"
The town site of Wendell was chosen for the vast expanse of grass where sagebrush had been burned off by a wildfire several years ago. It is a typical rural Idaho community. The population of 2,744 residents are a group of close-knit community members with fiercely independent and faithful principals which were critical in settling the west.
The city of Wendell is in Gooding county, with close proximity to the city of Gooding and nearby Buhl and Twin Falls. Wendell prides itself on the Magic Valley Dairy Days, an annual June event. The city of Wendell and the Wendell Chamber of Commerce are active in community events that help to keep the city's community pride alive.
