The Shawn Willey interview was fascinating. My husband and I have been exploring Southern Idaho's geologic features for 20+ years, and have been to most of the places he mentions. This year we got to hike Black Magic Canyon, before snow and ice made it too treacherous. We are from Utah but we spent probably 20 nights in the Magic Valley this year. I've ordered Shawn's book and look forward to learning about new places to check out!

Hi Andrea! We are glad to hear you found Shawn's interview fascinating! There are so many different places to explore. It seems like every time we turn a corner, we're learning about something new. I guess there's a reason it's called the Magic Valley :) Thank you for sharing!!

Loved this, and hurrah for you for writing about the area. I had no idea how vast the Bonneville flood was until I read your book and the roadside guide. Definitely a lot to experience...!

Connie, this was a wonderful interview. Nicely done. I just discovered Shawn Willsey's YT channel and am working my way through his valuable library. I grew up in SW ID from late 50s through the 70s and frequently drive back up from SLC to explore. His channel is filling in so many gaps in my understanding with an effortless and comfortable teaching style. I would love to see his work translate into an occasional collaboration with an Idaho broadcast entity. Listening to your podcast has afforded me important insight into how his career and work have evolved which is exactly what an interview like this should accomplish. Thank you.
